Description:

Postdoctoral position available in the laboratory of Barbara Bedogni, PhD at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Projects involve the study of the Notch signaling pathway in development and progression of melanoma with an emphasis on therapeutics. The principle models utilized in the laboratory include a vast array of melanoma cell lines, human tumor tissues and mouse models. Projects will entail manipulation of gene expression in the aforementioned systems using both classical and novel molecular tools in conjunction with cell culture, biochemical, and in vivo assays (orthotopic and xenograft models).

The ideal *postdoctoral fellow *candidate should be highly motivated, have a PhD or MD degree, a strong background in molecular biology, cell biology, mouse genetics and publications in internationally recognized journals. Applicants should be fluent in English and be available for an interview. Experience with mammalian cell culture, analysis of transgenic/knockout mice, use of lentivirus, and analysis of microarray data is preferred.
