Senior Qualitative Health Research Fellow

£34,435 – £43,622 per annum

A Senior Qualitative Health Research Fellow is required to support the research, consulting and training activities of the RDS (Research Design Service South Central), located in the School of Medicine, University of Southampton.

You will have particular expertise in qualitative research. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary team of research advisors and methodologists to shape this new service in order to build momentum for high quality health and social care research.

The principle activity of the RDS is to advise and support health and social care researchers to develop high-quality grant proposals. You will be based within the RDS Co-ordinating Centre at the University of Southampton.

You will develop your own research interests and collaborate with grant applicants, as appropriate. A commitment to public and patient involvement in research would be beneficial. There will be opportunities to work with colleagues within the University of Southampton as well as our other University sites at Oxford, Reading and Portsmouth.

The appointment is full-time and fixed-term until 31 December 2013 in the first instance. Applicants wishing to work part-time will also be considered.
