The CD13/APN cell surface peptidase is a potent regulator of cell motility and cell-cell interactions and typifies a novel class of angiogenic modulators. The goal of the project is to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of CD13/APN regulation of endothelial function as it relates to inflammatory mechanisms and cell-cell adhesion using a combination of in vitro cell culture and in vivo transgenic and knockout models.
