A Postdoctoral Research position is available in the laboratory of Dr.Jie Wu in the Molecular Oncology Program, H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Centerand Research Institute, Tampa, Florida. This is a post-graduateentry-level position in which the individual is responsible forassisting with research activities as well as conducting independentresearch projects when appropriate under limited supervision.
The successful candidate will conduct research on signal transduction,oncogenic mechanisms, drug target evaluation, and new anticancer drugs.Qualified candidates should have a recent Ph.D. or equivalent degree inMolecular Biology and Biochemistry or related field with a background inmolecular biology, cell biology, immunology, and/or pharmacology.Self-motivated, commitment to scientific research, and excellent verbaland written communication skills are essential.
The H. Lee Moffitt Comprehensive Cancer Center is a modern facilitylocated on the University of South Florida Campus that conducts researchon various aspects of Cancer Biology with emphasis on translationalresearch. It is the third largest Cancer Center in the US based onpatient volume. Research environment includes state of the art moderncore facilities including functional genomics, proteomics, microscopy,flow cytometry, high throughput screening, molecular modeling, syntheticchemistry, structural biology, pathology, and pathogen-free modernanimal facilities.
