Position Overview: The Duke Kunshan University Nurse, supervised by Director of Health Service and physician in Campus Health Clinic, is an important role in health care team. The Nurse (Live-in) position is a full-time employee who performs both day duty and night shift during which often called to respond to urgent medical needs. Follow-up unsolved cases, and respond urgent students’ inquiries via Wechat and emails. ⚫ 夜班时负责接听急诊电话，迅速作出判断处理和安排，必要陪诊病人到BoB手机客户端 。继续追踪白天未解决的病例，快速回复学生邮件以及微信问询。 ⚫ Assist with other clinic works. ⚫ 辅助诊所其他工作，比如外部资源建设，健康教育等等。 Essential Duties: ⚫ Provide medical services in clinic during office hours: patient triage, nurse visit, assist physician, administer treatments, disinfect and set up each examination rooms, maintain medical equipment and pharmacy, accompany students out for vaccination or health check-up, health education and promotion programs, administrative work, and other duties assigned by clinic. ⚫ Medical Emergency Response o Stay on the campus and answer the medical emergency phone while on duty, identify medical situation and follow emergency response protocol to develop plans and make proper response/arrangement. o Provide basic life support when needed. o Record/report incidents according to the protocol. o In the case of referral patient out, working closely with other colleagues to arrange transportation and liaise with local hospitals and accompany patient to hospital when necessary. ⚫ University employees' job responsibilities will continue to expand in scope and depth as the University grows in size and complexity in its programs. Required Qualifications: ⚫ Bachelor’s degree or above in nursing. ⚫ Licensed to practice nursing according to PRC regulations and able to register in DKU clinic. ⚫ BLS/ACLS qualification. ⚫ Prior hospital experience in various departments such as OR, ER and other medical departments is highly preferred. ⚫ Good communication skills in both English and Chinese. Preferred Qualifications: ⚫ Overseas working experience in joint venture companies or higher education institutions is preferred. ⚫ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. ⚫ Capability to respond with courteous manner to inquiries from the public, including students, faculty and staff, in person, or on telephone. ⚫ Clear understanding of confidentiality issues; and maintain strict confidentiality. ⚫ Ability to stay calm in an emergency.
