Position: ADME Associate/Sr Associate Scientist (R1/R2) Description: The qualified candidate will operate within the Pharmacokinetics,Dynamics and Metabolism (PDM) group in a Discovery project team settingand provide Discovery ADME support for one of the therapeutic areas(CNS-central nervous system, CVMED-cardiovascular, metabolic andendocrine disorders and AB-antibacterials). The primary focus of thislaboratory based position will be contributing towards the execution ofin vitro and in vivo studies characterizing the absorption,distribution, metabolism and elimination (ADME) attributes of newchemical entities (NCE's). This individual will apply these assays toPK/ADME and PK-PD studies of drug candidates to support achievement ofcritical milestones, culminating in nomination of NCE's for clinical development.
The qualified candidate will have an educational background inchemistry, biology, biochemistry or related discipline, a BS with 1-3years relevant experience, a demonstrated ability to work withinformation technology systems/tools and databases (eg, WATSON, Galileo,RGate, Spotfire, etc), and technical skills associated with the conductof in vitro ADME studies (e.g., microsomes, hepatocytes, proteinbinding).
