Job Description:

A Postdoctoral Position is available at The Jackson Laboratory to study brain development using mouse models. We are interested in the maturation and plasticity of neurons and synapses during early postnatal development. One major area of research concerns molecular mechanisms underlying the elimination and consolidation of synapses. Studies will include patch-clamp recordings in brain slices, morphometric analysis, and conditional gene inactivation.

The Jackson Laboratory is the world's largest mammalian genetics research institution. Its 35 faculty members investigate the genetic basis of human diseases and disorders. The Jackson Laboratory is the world’s source for nearly 3,000 strains of genetically modified mice.
