A postdoctoral position in RNA Biology is available immediately for highly motivated individuals with a strong interest in integrated approaches to understanding the structure and function of RNA and RNA-protein complexes in the lab of Prof. Ailong Ke at Cornell University. The lab is interested in two main research areas: 1. structure and working mechanism of macromolecular machines in the eukaryotic RNA processing and degradation; 2. Structure and conformation dynamics of riboswitches in genetic regulation. Please check Nat Struct Mol Biol. 2008 Oct;15(10):1076-83, and Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A. 2007 Oct 23;104(43):16844-9 for representative publications. The lab has extensive crystallographic resources, including regular access to synchrotron beamlines at the Cornell High Energy Synchrotron Source (CHESS) on campus.
