Product Evaluator (Chemistry) c £25k South East Ref: AF/014643

A formulation chemist with product testing experience is required for a fantastic new opportunity as a product evaluator within R&D. This role will involve working with selected 3rd party companies and in-house capability.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

1. Setting up quantitative research (internally and with agencies), including creating test designs and questionnaires, defining and co-ordinating study stimulus. Running data analysis, summarising and reporting results

2.Engage the project team to define & coordinate the completion of any relevant tests for claim support (i.e. technical, clinical or consumer testing).

3.With line manager agree on, develop and implement protocols to brief the testing of cosmetic developments and benchmarks.

4.Manage and drive relevant in-house panel testing to support the business.

5.Liaise closely with external test house and necessary agencies.

6.Deliver recommendations for new testing protocols and ways of working.

7.Keeping abreast of developments in own area of expertise and relevant toiletries, cosmetic & general products (safety) regulations pertaining to testing of ALL products within the business.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

1. Chemistry Background (Cosmetic/ Toiletries Exp)

2.Formulation of cosmetic products

3. Experience in Consumer Evaluation.

4.Understanding of Quantitative Consumer Research, including methodologies and analysis.

5.Good communication skills (verbal, written, presentation).

6.Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player.

7.Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel & Power point.

8.The job holder must be able to work independently, be pro-active, be passionate about product testing and committed to deliver outstanding quality results.
