St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, located in Memphis, Tennessee, isa premier center for research and treatment of potentially fatalchildhood diseases, including cancer and certain blood, genetic, andimmunodeficiency disorders. The hospital’s mission is to advance cures,and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases throughresearch and treatment. St. Jude is dedicated to providing unsurpassedpatient care and to advancing the health of children through biomedical research.
Currently, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has openings forPostdoctoral Fellowships – Immunology/Cellular Signaling.
Postdoctoral Fellowships are available at St. Jude Children’s ResearchHospital to investigate cellular signaling in the immune system. We areparticularly interested in dissecting the role of signaling pathwaysmediated by MAP kinases (MAPK) and sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P)receptors in regulating basic immunological and cell biologicalprocesses (including development, activation, trafficking, cell cycleprogression, and death of T cells and dendritic cells). We also aim todefine molecular mechanisms of inflammatory, infectious and autoimmunediseases. The experimental models include genetically-modified mice andprimary immune cells derived from these mice. Please see the website(www.stjude.org/chi) for additional information.
Requirements:
* Ph.D. in immunology, biochemistry, or cellular and molecular biology
* Evidence of scientific accomplishment
