Job Purpose
The post-holder will be responsible for the co-ordination of a project leading to the development of the ‘Best Practice Statement for Vision Problems in Stroke'. The post holder will work under the direction of the BHF Lecturer in Cardiovascular Care, Dr Elizabeth Tolmie (PI), University of Glasgow for the development of the Best Practice Statement and other research-related duties. The Best Practice project is funded by the Scottish Government Big Lottery Fund. The post-holder will be based at the Nursing & Health Care School, University of Glasgow.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1 Contribute substantially to the development of the ‘Best Practice Statement for Vision Problems in Stroke'.
2 Conduct and co-ordinate a systematic review of the literature pertaining to the specialist area and other related areas as required.
3 Work collaboratively with members of the Steering Group for the Best Practice Statement and other related groups to achieve the outcomes of the project within the required timescale.
4 Carry out administration tasks associated with the Best Practice Statement and other research-related duties as required to support the work of the BHF Lecturer in Cardiovascular Care.
5 Maintain accurate records relating to the progress of the project.
6 Report on the progress of the Best Practice Statement to members of the project Steering Group.
7 Contribute to the final report for the study and associated publications to ensure dissemination of project outcomes.
8 Ensure that work is undertaken effectively, professionally and efficiently.
Standard Terms & Conditions
Salary will be on the Research and Teaching Grade 6, £26,004 - £29,249

All research and related activities, including grants, donations, clinical trials, contract research, consultancy and commercialisation are required to be managed through the University's relevant processes (e.g. contractual and financial), in accordance with the University Court's policies.
