Ref: LS/138/07
Psoriasis is an important inflammatory skin disease for which thereremains a need for effective new therapies. We have recently found thatearly-onset psoriasis is characterised by a systemic defect in theability of epidermal LC to respond to those signals that in the skin ofnormal subjects cause cellular activation and mobilisation. You willlead a project to define at the cellular and molecular levels the natureof changes in LC function seen in psoriasis and the relationship ofthese to disease pathogenesis.
