Description
A POSTDOCTORAL position is available immediately to identify protein degradation motifs in eukaryotic transcription factors using a high-throughput proteomic approach. This is a new, multi-investigator research initiative at the chemical biology, bioinformatics, and structural biology interface, and requires a Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry or a closely related field. Applications from experienced postdoctoral scholars/staff scientists with relevant experience will be considered. The successful applicant must posses excellent communication skills, be highly motivated, and must have demonstrated experience (i.e. relevant publications) with methods used to analyze protein-protein interactions and/or protein ubiquitination assays. Experience with gene cloning, site-directed mutagenesis, structure determination by protein crystallography, and/or computer programming is an advantage. Salary will be commensurate with experience and is in addition to a generous fringe benefit package.
