Job Description

Postdoctoral Researcher position is available immediately to study the interaction between Epstein Barr Virus (EBV) and human papillomavirus (HPV). The selected candidate will join Dr. Michael Hagensee's laboratory in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Parasitology at the LSU Health New Orleans/Stanley S. Scott Cancer Center. The incumbent's role will involve virus detection in samples, detecting the body's immune response against HPV, cell culture techniques, designing research protocols, data collection, preparing research results for publication, and presenting results at national meetings.

REQUIRED: Ph.D. in Basic Science
DESIRED: Strong research background in viruses that cause cancer or in developing or using immunological assays
