Cell cycle checkpoints and DNA repair

Postdoctoral training positions are available for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to work in the area of cell cycle checkpoint control and DNA damage repair in mammalian cells. Biochemical, cellular and molecular approaches will be used to investigate the roles of tumor suppressor genes, including ATM, Nbs1 and Brca1, in damage signaling pathways and to address how cell cycle arrest is coordinated with the DNA damage repair process in order to maintain genome stability and prevent cancer. Requirements: The individual should be self-motivated and be able to work effectively. The candidate must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree with strong background in molecular biology.
