Description
Postdoctoral research position available to study the role of NF-κB pathways in osteoclasts, particularly in the context of pathological bone loss, such as in osteoporosis, inflammatory arthritis, and cancer metastasis to bone. The laboratory utilizes in vitro culture as well as in vivo disease models with various mutant mice. Previous experience with basic molecular biology and cell culture techniques is required. The applicant must understand mouse genetics and be prepared to manage a transgenic and/or knockout mouse colony to support research projects. Previous experience with bone marrow transplantation and other in vivo mouse models is desirable but not necessary. Applicants must have a PhD in the life sciences, or an MD with at least 4 years of bench experience, be able to work independently, and to develop new techniques for the lab, with record of high quality publications. Students in the final months of a PhD program are also welcome to apply. Fluency with written and oral English is required.
