Description

We invite qualified applicants to join our ongoing research in gene regulation and structure-function studies of contractile and cytoskeleton proteins. Projects utilizing skills in molecular genetics, biochemistry, cell biology and/or cardiovascular physiology are available for the candidates to explore their interest and potential. The fully established laboratory is located in a newly constructed research facility in the north suburb of Chicago.

The position offers excellent salary and benefit package. The applicants should have a Ph.D. in molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry, physiology or genetics. Applicants with M.Sc. degree and outstanding research experience and publication record will also be considered. Title and compensation level will be determined based on qualifications. Candidates with strong background in protein biochemistry, molecular engineering, muscle physiology, cell motility and cytokinesis studies are especially encouraged to apply.

Individuals appointed to the Research Scientist position are eligible to apply for internal and external research grants and may be considered for Research Assistant Professor position at Northwestern University.
