Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated organic chemist for a project related to drug discovery. The successful candidate will perform small pilot libraries of small molecular weight compounds based on multicomponent reaction chemistry. These libraries are designed according to high resolution target information. The candidate will optimize compounds for biological activity in apoptosis.

We expect the chemist to be fluent in analytical techniques (NMR, HPLC, MS) and organic preperative techniques (reaction set-up, parallel reactions, seperation). Experience in drug design (modelling, docking) is a plus, but not a prerequisite!
The work will be performed at the Drug Discovery Institute of the Universty of Pittsburgh in the lab of Prof. Doemling.
