The following opportunity exists in our South San Francisco, CA facility:

Postdoctoral Research Fellow – Arnott Lab/Proteomics

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to develop innovative proteomic techniques and apply them to important biological problems with relevance to disease. Our laboratory is well-equipped with mass spectrometers (Thermo LTQ, LTQ-FT, ABI QSTAR, Voyager DE-STR) and an array of related equipment for chromatography, electrophoresis, etc. Potential areas of research include top-down proteomics, posttranslational modification analysis (primarily phosphorylation and ubiquitination), and quantitative mass spectrometry.

Requirements:
Ph.D. with a strong background in proteomic research. Experience with top-down mass spectrometric techniques such as ECD or ETD is desirable. Skills should include expertise in instrumentation, protein and peptide separation and manipulation, and the use of bioinformatic tools. A track record of innovative problem-solving and publication is essential.
