MicroVention is a rapidly growing medical device company that is pioneering the development of catheter-based technologies for the endovascular treatment of peripheral and cerebral vascular diseases.
Today, MicroVention is focused on proprietary technologies that provide therapeutic advantages for cerebral aneurysm treatment in a minimally invasive platform. The company is currently marketing two families of products: MicroPlex? Coil System and the HydroCoil Embolic System, its next-generation endovascular coil system. Recently launched in early 2004 were the MicroPlex XT, a unique stretch-resistant and conformal platinum coil, and the HydroCoil 10 Embolic System, a stretch-resistant and highly flexible coil for small aneurysms.
