TheEPSRCCentre for Innovative Manufacturing in Emergent Macromolecular Therapies is an international programme hosted by the Advanced Centre for Biochemical Engineering (ACBE) atUCLin collaboration with Chemical Engineering (UCL), Epidemiology and Public Health (UCL), Chemical Engineering (Imperial College London) and the London School of Pharmacy. The Centre network of international companies and universities brings together life scientists, process engineers, decision scientists and health economists to deliver innovation in the manufacture of novel protein-based biopharmaceutical therapies for cost-effective administration to patients.

We are seeking to appoint a team of 7 postdoctoral researchers to join the Centre in creating a large decision-support framework which will allow key manufacturing decisions to be made at an early stage of a drug candidate’s evolution from discovery to patient. Successful applicants will need to show an interest in working to develop novel technologies and techniques for improved manufacturing and delivery of therapies in a cost-effective manner.

Positions are initially for three years and we seek candidates with backgrounds in chemical or biochemical engineering, systems engineering, protein chemistry, chemometrics, operational research and health economics.

Salary scale is in the range £31,905 � £38,594 pa including London allowance, superannuable (depending on experience).
