Job Description
A postdoctoral research position is available in Dr. Katherine Yanhag Zhang’s lab in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Boston University. We are looking for a self-motivated researcher to work on projects on multi-scale modeling of extracellular matrix (ECM) mechanics in vascular remodeling. The selected candidate will work on developing a predictive mechanobiology model of ECM mechanics to provide a clinical relevant relationship between biomechanical integrity, biochemical composition stability, and microstructure of the ECM. The selected candidate will also have many opportunities to collaborate with the researchers in the group for a complete model development and validation.
Applicants must have in-depth knowledge of nonlinear solid mechanics and finite element methods. PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant fields is required.
