Job Description
A postdoctoral position is available starting immediately in the Schmidt laboratory at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, USA to work on :
“The role of the ubiquitin/proteasome system in aging and oxidative stress response”
The Schmidt lab is an international lab, which investigates novel cellular functions of the proteasome and regulatory mechanisms, which control proteasomal activity. For more information visit the following website:

Qualified candidates should have a PhD or equivalent degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or related fields. The candidate should have demonstrated experience in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Candidates with prior experience in proteasome related research and/or yeast techniques are preferred.
The Albert Einstein College of Medicine is located in the northern part of the Bronx in New York City. It is one of the largest institutions for medical education, basic research and clinical investigation in the United States and ranks among the 40th best Medical Schools in the US (average ranking for the past 5 years in medical research: 35.2) and among the best 100 universities in the world. Six major programs at the Einstein have been designated Centers of Excellence by the NIH, among them the Albert Einstein Cancer Center, the Diabetes Center and the Brain and Neuroscience Center.
