Postdoctoral osition is available in the laboratory of Dr. Michael Garabedian, NYU School of Medicine, to study the role of liver X receptor (LXR) in macrophage gene regulation and cardiovascular disease.

The applicant must be a recent PhD graduate.

The laboratory is located at the NYU School of Medicine, Manhattan, New York and offers state of the art research facilites in a collaborative environment.

NYU School of Medicine has an active post-doctoral association(http://www.med.nyu.edu/sackler/postdoc/)that provides support and assists with career resources. Dr. Garabedian is committed to mentoring post docs and has a proven track record of moving them onto the next phase of their career.

The position requires previous research experience in transcriptional regulation, cell and molecular biology and a strong publication record. Background in nuclear receptor signaling is desirable, as is experience with mouse models. Initial salary is commensurate with experience; application for independent funding is strongly encouraged.
